Ron Gilbert announced Thimbleweed Park 2 for 2028! Great news! Thimbleweed Park was one of my favourite games of the last decade. It's a beautiful and fun good ol’ point and click like the ones I grew up with. And the soundtrack is awesome too! Can’t wait-a-reno!
I recently rewatched It, the miniseries from 1990. I had watched it when it was aired on TV (1993 in France) and I remember how it sort of disturbed me, back then, but in a good way. It's still a bit cheesy, but the photography, the music, the characters, the places… all in all it just builds an eerie and uncanny atmosphere that felt both good and weird back then, and still does now.
Just started a new book. Known as Journey to the West in English. I bought it many years ago (in 2008, I just checked). At first, what drew me to this book was that it's one of the sources of inspiration that led Akira Toriyama to create Dragon Ball. I tried to read it once, but I eventually gave up and forgot about it for a long time. Earlier this year, as I was browsing my library for interesting unread books, I noticed it and decided to add it to the pile of books I'd like to read in 2026. So far, after a few dozen pages, I'm having a good time reading Monkey King's travels and encounters.

As I’m working on my content migration from WordPress to Pure Blog, I’m going through all my articles to see if everything went smoothly, and fix or tweak things if needed. Surprisingly, I’m finding myself getting rid of the cover images on quite a lot of them 😅
I’m currently trying out Pure Blog locally, deep diving into its features, customisation options… I’m seriously considering migrating from WordPress some day. It’s a bit of an undertaking to adapt some content, my custom plugins and so on. It will certainly take time, but everything seems doable. Pure Blog is very flexible, Kev has been doing an amazing job!

I just read Manu’s post “On planting seeds”. How People and Blogs is moving on is not very related to what follows, but what Manu says about the life of web projects made me think of what Craig Mod wrote when he and his team decided to shut down good old late Hi.co:
Web projects often lack hard edges. They begin with clarity but end without. We want to close Hi.co with clarity. To properly bookend the website. Sometimes web projects exhaust themselves. Outlive themselves. Are allowed to stagnate, be forgotten. Resources dry up and then one day — poof — they’re gone. This has happened countless times, Geocities being one of the foremost examples. We don’t want this to happen with Hi.co.

Hi.co was a great project, ahead of its time, on which I read great stories. I even published some pieces on it.
